  • Jan 11, 2017  The Touch Bar on MacBook Pro changes dynamically depending on what application is open and what action is going on within Mac OS. Or at least, that’s what’s supposed to happen. Rarely, the Touch Bar stops working, will get stuck and become unresponsive, maybe even display an erroneous button, or show a blank button that doesn’t do anything.

  1. Press these three keys together: Option, Command, and Esc (Escape). This is similar to pressing Control-Alt-Delete on a PC. Or choose Force Quit from the Apple () menu in the upper-left corner of your screen.

As a radio ham, this is exactly what I wanted - A simple, no frills GMT clock including seconds that sits in my menu bar. I operate a lot of data modes, including FT8, FT4, JT65, JT9 and WSPR which all need an accurate clock and this display in my menu keeps me confident that my system clock is accurate.
All amateur radio logging is done in GMT/UTC and this means that I can see it at a glance. There are other menu bar clocks but they do far too much. I don't want other time zones, different style clocks, alarms, calendar integration, etc.
It does what it's supposed to. Thank you.
